In this serigraph, Shrem creates a fierce and fiery illustration of the event at Sinai. The tablets tower in the painting, with dozens of Hebrew letters, seemingly consumed by fire, descend from the heavens.
Framing this powerful scene are small panels with esthetical patterns, set on a captivating black background, interspersed with Jewish symbols.
This is a powerful, effective art piece, that lingers in the mind long after it’s seen. Unique and intensely vivid, it would make an exceptional gift or piece of wall art.
Born in Israel, Victor Shrem trained as a ceramicist in Germany after serving in the Israeli Defence Forces’ Navy. After several years of creating pottery, Victor turned to painting, perfecting the use of watercolor, oil paints, and mixed-media. Inspired by Israeli folklore, Judaica, and Jerusalem, Shrem is known for his pieces that stained- glass windows in style. His work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide and can be found in various prestigious private collections
